Starting out as good friends from San Diego we formed Belly 9 in 2003 after bonding through our first pregnancies. During that time we obsessed over every little detail of our pregnancies and marveled how one little being could make us feel so ill one moment and overcome with joy the next. We talked about how much our bodies were changing, and like every newly pregnant woman does, talked about how we could make the most out of the next nine months and still maintain some sense of style (and a sense of humor). We often shopped together and searched endlessly for cute Maternity T-shirts and came up empty handed.

We realized that there was a need for a comfy, but still sexy line of Maternity T-shirts that reflected the many moods of pregnancy. So we put our heads together and started designing and producing our own line of Maternity T-shirts. Then the ultimate test arose. We both became pregnant for a second time. Although we didn't have the same overlapping pregnancies, we spent every day of our "second" nine months testing out our own product individually.

We have different body types, but the cut worked great for both of us. We were thrilled with the lasting fit of our shirts. We wore them continuously from the beginning of our first trimester until the day we arrived at the hospital. We truly feel like we have a fit that can take you from day one to the last day. Our designs offer many personalities and tastes, often with a sense of humor. We invite you to look around and ask questions. We are here for you, because as we all know, we moms have to stick together.
